Ticket sales skyrocket
by Pamela Buhner

Mississippi State's first home football game will be Sept. 30, and many of the games are already sold out. Season tickets for the general public are no longer available. Individual tickets to the Florida, Auburn, Alabama and Ole Miss games are sold out as well. The Homecoming game against Middle Tennessee State is close to being sold out, but there are still plenty of tickets available for the Arkansas game. They expect big crowds throughout the season Mike Nemeth in the Athletic Ticket Office said. Students can begin picking up their ticket packages on Sept. 6, but they will be available for purchase all semester long. "I want to stress that students tickets are still available," Nemeth said. Student packages sell for $15 and include tickets to all five home games. Tickets available to the general public range from $22 to $30. However, there are family plans available, as well as package deals for a reduced number of games. Ticket prices have changed a little from last year. Nemeth said this is due to the number of home games and the fact that the University is trying to have the same ticket prices as the rest of the Southeastern Conference.
